I have worked as an English news editor for over 20 years, covering developments on Japan’s political and economic scenes. My wife is a private English language class teacher for kids. We have two daughters, a son and a dog. Two of them have grown up and they are staying in America. The son, a high school student, loves playing the guitar. The male Boston Terrier joined us two months after his birth in January 2009. We live in a city southwest of Tokyo. I sing as a second tenor at a local mixed voice choir. (UPDATE) My wife and I, and our dog moved to a small city in the northern part of Kyushu, southwestern Japan, in the spring of 2011, parting from our three children to let them pursue their own life paths.
